LACROSSE FOR WISHES TRYOUTS
Lacrosse for Wishes program will be expanding to 8 teams next summer for graduation years; 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 & 2027.  Try-outs will be held at the Youth Academy in Newtown on Saturday, August 18th and Sunday the 19th.

Make A Wish Lacrosse provides a unique opportunity for your town players, including:

  • Program Stability:  We have been in existence for 7 years and have 11 board members to lead our organization.
  • Non-Profit Status:  Because our model does not include a profit motive, we are able to control costs.  Coaching fees & custom uniforms are only $400 per player.
  • Experienced Coaches:  Our coaching staff includes current HS coaches from around Fairfield County that also have D1 & D3 player experience.
  • Philanthropy:  Our main charter is to bring hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions.   Our players have raised over $600,000 for the CT chapter of Make-A-Wish while learning the valuable life lesson of helping others in their community.
  • Playing Time:  The number of players on each team is kept at a level that allows everyone ample playing time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Scott Daly at 203-545-0073, Tom Maurath at 203-253-6469, or  203-410-1457.  Thanks.

For those that might be interested, Lacrosse for Wishes is holding tryouts for its 2019 Summer Lacrosse Teams this coming weekend!  Competitive summer lax experience and enables athletes to help raise money to bring hope, strength & joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions!

Good luck!

2018 BOYS SUMMER LACROSSE CAMP
Game Breaker Summer
Lacrosse Camp

Hello Lacrosse Parents and Coaches,

We are excited to announce an unbelievable opportunity to get individualized training and game play through our Offense/Defense Game Breaker LacrosseCamp at Milford’s Jonathan Law High School and New Haven’s Hopkins School.

The clinic will feature Hopkins Head Coach Scott Bartush, current Fairfield University Defenseman Jake Tymon, along with a number of other current and former Division 1 College players.

We feel as this is the most important time to keep a stick in the boy’shands. We have been doing lacrosse camps within our areas and across the country for the last 18 years and found it to be hugely successful in furthering player’s development throughout the off season.

MYL Supports Students Community Service

If your kids want to make a difference and help other kids in the world, they can "Move To Matter"!  This Charity allows children to exercise, get sponsors, and buy necessary items such as classrooms, beds, library books, etc.  It allows your children to directly help other children in the world by their activities.  This program can fulfill community service requirements for your children and possibly start an ongoing giving campaign that might last many years.  Please check out the website - www.movetomatter.com.

MYL supports the efforts of "Move To Matter" and encourages your children to get involved.
